A
VIEW on the WAR in IRAQ
March 22, 2003
Dear Ones,
The world is at a difficult crossroads between dark & light,
good & evil. At times such as these, dark can become
light and good can become evil. When the two are engaged
in such a close contest for the upper hand, as they now
are, each acts as a refracting mirror of the other, so
that the light reflects qualities of the dark, and the
dark reflects qualities of the light. Each appears to
be becoming the other.
This phenomenon can most clearly be seen in the Middle
East, particularly in Iraq, where the son of the person
who intervened to stop one despot from invading another
nation has now become a despot who is invading the
original invader. (Bush & Hussein)
Similarly, the nation that played host during World
War II to one of the greatest atrocities against humanity
is now one of the most outspoken opponents of military
action. (Germany)
The same can be said of a neighboring European nation
that initially collaborated in part with the atrocities
of its neighbor before resisting. This country is now
one of the most outspoken proponents of peace. (France)
Equally, the nation once at the center of the Ottoman
Empire, which fostered many of the rivalries between
neighboring religious and ethnic groups, is now one
of the nations to block the United States from using
its
country as a military base. (Turkey)
Even though, from our current perspective, the news
looks very dire, it is part of a larger process of
reestablishing
the correct balance between light and dark on the planet.
And even though certain leaders of the United States
appear to be acting in less than an enlightened manner,
according to commonly accepted spiritual principles
of right action, the good karma of America will hopefully
alchemically transform these seemingly negative actions
into results
that will be for the highest good of humanity.
Until this conflict is peacefully resolved, please
continue to pray that God will work through the thoughts
and actions
of all world leaders. Even if their actions
appear to be contrary to the general good, this prayer
will transform the actions of all into positive beacons
of light.
Please remember to continue your prayers for
all players in this drama – even the ones you
do not like or do not agree with. By praying for someone
for
whom you share little affinity, you actually build
invisible bonds of brotherhood across the globe, and
accrue much
positive karma for yourself. So, even if you feel powerless
in the face of the onslaught of negative news, know
that your prayers are very powerful in setting the
world back
on its proper course.
Love & Light,
Laurie
