WINTER SOLSTICE GREETINGS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
2020 YEARLY FORECAST
The arrival of the
Winter Solstice on December 21-22 marks the moment when we celebrate the return
of the light in the northern hemisphere as the days become longer and coincide
with the festivities of light and hope of Christmas, Hanukkah, and the New Year.
Use the days leading up to the Solstice, the Holiday Season, and the New Year
to celebrate the light within you and to affirm the growth of greater light
around the world as we enter the new year of 2020.
The Chinese New Year of the Metal Rat is soon to begin as well on January 25,
2020, auguring a time of new beginnings and success for activities involving
metal, such as technology, manufacturing, and building construction. The impact
of heavy metals in the air and water also will be discovered and discussed
during this time.
The astrological alignments of 2020 also presage the ending of the old way to
make space for the new, the innovative, and the experimental. We are about
to witness the dawn of a more evolved and enlightened era of self-awareness and
authenticity, greater truth to replace untruth, and more responsive,
cooperative systems of public governance. As always with things that are
new, there is a period of transition and adjustment as the old is dismantled
and the new is established.
To make the most of the coming times, please base your assessment of how things
are going (if you are making assessments at all) upon the light, love, and
wisdom inside of you rather than what appears to be going on
outside. Tune into your breathing, feel a place of calmness and wellbeing
within. And affirm that everything is getting better with the positive
contributions you and others are making. Send energy, thoughts, and
prayers to the things that are good. Visualize and feel inside of yourself the
wellbeing you are seeking. What you are emanating from within will heal outer
worldly conditions.
We are now witnessing the end of the old way and the rebirth of the new and
better. A period of transition always accompanies major planetary
transformations. It is as if we are in the birth canal, ready to leave one way
of living to go to another. The birth into a lighter time comes on December 21,
2020, at the Winter Solstice, when Jupiter and Saturn conjoin in Aquarius, the
Sign of Brotherly Love. The last time these important planets aligned in
Aquarius was in 1405, at the beginning of the Renaissance.
The following paragraphs are an astrological and historical perspective
on the upcoming planetary alignments in 2020: (or scroll down to the blue "What You Can
Do" section for further inspiration for the New Year, or further scroll down for "Your Personalized 2020Astrological Predictions.")
The first part of 2020 features a plethora of planets in the karmic sign of
Capricorn-Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, and the South Node of the Moon-and
multiple conjunctions of these powerful celestial forces in
Capricorn. Capricorn brings us into contact with formal authority,
hierarchy, finances, and government-and the ways in which these areas of life
can become rigid or extreme. Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius (coming later in
2020) restore democracy, equal rights, and the equal participation of all. As a
result of the transition from Capricorn to Aquarian values, we will move out of
a hierarchical, structured, competitive society to go to a more egalitarian,
communal, collective culture, where we will all feel our common roots and
connections.
Expansive Jupiter, which influences laws, religion, and travel, enters Aquarius
on December 19, 2020. Saturn, which brings karmic justice and influences
government and finance, enters Aquarius on December 16, 2020. Several days
later, on the Winter Solstice of 2020, both planets exactly conjoin each
other-strengthening the power of each planet under what will be the powerful "Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction in Aquarius of
2020."
(Publically-oriented Jupiter has been in Capricorn since December 2, 2019
and will move into Aquarius on December 19, 2020; Karmic Saturn has been
in Capricorn since December 2017 and will move into Aquarius on December 16,
2020; the South Node of the Moon has been in Capricorn since November 2018 and
will move into Sagittarius on May 4, 2020; Transformative Pluto has been
in Capricorn since 2008 and will move into Aquarius in 2023-24; Fiery Mars
will be in Capricorn from February 16 to March 30, 2020.)
Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions happen in various signs every 20 years-and promote
changes in styles of government. Jupiter and Saturn have not been together in
the egalitarian sign of Aquarius for more than 600 years due to the 12-year
orbit of Jupiter through each of the 12 constellations around the Sun and the
29.5-year orbit of Saturn around the Sun. Thus, we are all operating under
governments that have not been updated for many centuries. This conjunction of
Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in 2020 portends a transfer of power from
massive, rigid, even dictatorial structures to smaller groups of individuals
who will prove to be more versatile, mobile, and cooperative. The greater
flexibility and adaptability of small groups of individuals will help all of us
adjust more readily to swiftly changing circumstances across the globe. Rapid
technological advances will power the accelerated evolution of citizen actions
that will lead to greater self-governance and the transformation of weakened
governmental structures into more workable forms.
The forecast is bright for self-styled leadership, self-empowerment, more
truthful communications, and greater independence from the outer
structures that have been governing us. We are moving toward an era of
enlightened leadership, away from self-interest toward an interest in the
common good, along with greater flexibility, efficiency, and
accountability among governmental leaders. Remember, the American
Revolution began the last time Pluto was in Capricorn from 1762 to 1778.
Pluto returned to Capricorn for the first time since the American Revolution
in 2008, where Pluto will remain until 2024. An even more revolutionary energy
will take hold when Pluto enters Aquarius in 2024-for the first time since
1778. But Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius in 2020 will get the ball
rolling.
The 2020 Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction in Aquarius will set the stage for a more
equitable distribution of power under the tranformative action of Pluto in
Aquarius, where Pluto will remain until 2044. Under this influence, the more
profound re-formation of the American government-and governments across the
planet-will begin. We will see a greater return to the principles of freedom
and self-determination upon which the United States was founded-and other
nations will f ollow suit. We are now watching the dismantling of the old to
put the pieces together in a new way. Witnessing the last gasps of an old
system is not always comfortable.
In the meantime, the planetary transits of early 2020 will support excavating
what is hidden beneath the surface of societal structures (and beneath the
façade of yourself too) to discover what is in shadow to bring it to light. It
will be a time of purification. We are seeing the collective shadow now.
That is why so many people are doing things that they may not have done in the
past. They may have thought of, or quietly done, some of these things in the
past, but they would not have been exposed to public view. Now closed doors to
privacy are being opened left and right. This is so that the light of our
positive intentions, prayers, and actions can dispel the previously-hidden
darkness.
Through this process of excavation and exposure to the light, we are
discovering our authentic selves and the authentic reflection of our collective
selves in society. This is giving us the opportunity to gather our strength-and
do something about what we see-individually and collectively. Sometimes it
takes a bit of experimentation and a breaking of the old rules to discover
where the best course lies. We are about to enter the experimental phase under
the Aquarian planetary influence later in 2020. Eventually, all will discover
that our true power lies within-in our connection to our own souls and Spirit.
It will take the outer challenges to bring us collectively to this realization.
Once individuals' self-discoveries become more common, the positive energy will
sweep the globe and the pendulum will swing quickly in the other
direction-toward self-awareness and awareness of our connectedness to all other
humans, animals, other beings on the planet-and the planet itself. Global
responsibility and self-responsibility will replace selfishness, greed, and
dependence on outer forms of sustenance rather than soul and Spirit. The
shift is already occurring among some, albeit scattered, groups of people.
Soon we will see smaller groups of people working together to produce
even more positive results.
Of course, the interim dwindling efficacy of larger governmental structures is
unsettling because it undermines our very sense of security, our sense of
fairness, and our sense of justice. Yet, it's precisely what is needed to
ignite action in a critical mass of people who will dismantle dinosaur-like
structures that have been governing our world since the 1700s.
The historical background for the important global transition from Capricorn
to Aquarian planetary influences will be the focus of the next two sections of
this forecast so you may see the bigger picture:
Every 20 years, like clockwork, there is an alignment of Jupiter (laws) and
Saturn (government) that generally coincides with an upheaval in the United
States government. Frequently, the President of the United States is
unable to finish his term for reasons of health, assassination, or voting
malfeasance. As previously discussed, one of these every-20-year alignments
occurs in 2020. The phenomenon of disruptions and turning points in U.S.
government is attributed to "Tecumseh's Curse."
The pattern labeled as "Tecumseh's Curse" began in 1840 after U.S.
President William Harrison defeated the Indian Chief Tecumseh at the Battle of
Tippecanoe in 1811. Tecumseh was defending the land west of the Ohio River from
the American settlers, having already surrendered Native American lands east of
the river to the American settlers. Tecumseh's defeat to Harrison meant that
the American settlers would take over the land once ruled over by Native
Americans.
Harrison went on to be elected U.S. President in 1840 but never finished his
term. He died in office of pneumonia several months after being elected.
This pattern of dying in office, or other disruptions, continued every
subsequent 20 years:
• In 1860, Abraham Lincoln was elected. He was
assassinated in 1865.
• In 1880, James Garfield was elected. He was
assassinated in 1881.
• In 1900, William Mckinley was elected. He was
assassinated in 1901.
• In 1920, Warren Harding was elected. He died
in office in 1923.
• In 1940, Franklin Roosevelt was re-elected. He
died in office in 1945.
• In 1960, John Kennedy was elected. He was
assassinated in 1963.
• In 1980, Ronald Reagan was elected. He was
wounded by a would-be assassin's bullet, but recovered in 1981.
• In 2000, Albert Gore was elected by popular
vote (possibly by Electoral College votes as well, depending on how you count
hanging chads in Florida.) He never began his term in office.
• In 2020, there is a possibility, if Tecumseh's
Curse is still in effect, that the person who is truly elected may not be able
to serve his or her term in office. Or, the elected chief may not be able
to finish his or her term.
I raise the issue of
the U.S. Election in 2020 because the astrological
configuration on that day in 2020 will be eerily similar to the way it was on
Election Day in 2000. It is very possible that similar
chaotic or unexpected circumstances will evolve as they did in the 2000
Election, when the outcome was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. It is likely
that similar confusion or discord will prevail. It also is possible that the
person who is elected by the greatest number of voters may not be the person to
occupy the Oval Office. (Please forgive me if you are a fan of the Electoral
College.)
Here is more about the rest of the planetary alignments-mostly in
Capricorn-in 2020. Capricorn is a sign of initiative, so this will be a
time to weed your garden-and plant new seeds!
These alignments are:
* Saturn-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn (Saturn-Pluto
Conjunctions happen every 34 years)
* Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn (Jupiter-Pluto
Conjunctions occur every 13 years)
* Seven Eclipses, 4 in Capricorn (Eclipses happen every 6
months)
Eclipses in Capricorn
The main feature of the eclipses in 2020, including the one on
Christmas Day 2019 and the day after (depending on your time zone),
is their proximity to other major planetary alignments in Capricorn.
Here are some key dates of eclipses that will trigger sudden changes related to
the Capricorn alignments of Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Mars, and the South Node of
the Moon. (The South Node of the Moon, when it is in Capricorn, favors letting
go of the past to make way for new expressions of power and authority and of
obtaining a sense of safety and security.)
* A New Moon Eclipse in Capricorn on December 25-26, 2019
squares innovative and revolutionary Uranus in Taurus and is very close to the
South Node of the Moon. This eclipse brings new ideas to supplant the old way,
particularly involving governmental and financial policies. Issues reminiscent
of those raised in the year 2000 will come to light to seek resolution. People
who excessively exercise their power and authority will meet resistance-and be
confronted by those who lack power and authority-until the two come into
balance.
* A Full Moon Eclipse in Capricorn-and-Cancer on January 10,
2020 lines up closely with the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn that
occurs just 2 days later. This eclipse portends sudden changes of governmental
and financial policies. Issues of security (financial, military, emotional,
etc.), and the price to pay for security, will rise to the fore.
* A New Moon Eclipse in Cancer (opposite Capricorn) on June
20-21, 2020 reawakens issues activated by the December 25-26, 2019 eclipse and
also reflects back on events unfolding in mid-2001. The cost of security in
terms of the toll it takes on individual rights will come to the forefront of
collective awareness. The need for and value of freedom and individual rights
will re-assert itself.
* A Full Moon Eclipse on July 4-5, 2020 in Cancer-and-Capricorn
activates issues that last arose in 2001. Again, what price are we paying for
perceived safety versus the rights of individuals to freely travel,
communicate, and conduct commerce?
SATURN-PLUTO CONJUNCTION of 2020 in CAPRICORN-January 12, 2020
Saturn-Pluto conjunctions occur every 34 years and coincide with transformative
times in human history: 1914-15, 1947-48, and 1982-83. Saturn-Pluto
conjunctions represent opportunities to bring balance to unbalanced areas in
the world-and in your personal your life too. Shadow regions of human behavior
will be brought to light for purification. Right action will be restored
where it has fallen by the wayside. The most recent past Saturn-Pluto Conjunction
of 1982-83 coincided with the end of an economic downturn and an unprecedented
sky-rocketing of the U.S. Stock Market, interest rates, and an expansion of the
global economy that created the go-go-like Wall Street and investment
culture that culminated in 2008. The Saturn-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn
in 2020 will test the solidity of the financial system once again. Weaknesses
will be exposed. Financial markets will more closely reflect the level of
capital invested rather than any artificial inflation of asset values.
My comments about Pluto in Capricorn in my 2017 Yearly Forecast especially
apply to the upcoming Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of 2020:
Pluto has been in
Capricorn since 2008. By the time transformative Pluto leaves Capricorn
in 2024, the United States will have gained the awareness and maturity it needs
to rebuild its governing structures on a more evolved, conscious level. Until
then, the nation (and many other nations across the globe) will be going
through various challenges and tests to demonstrate to these societies the
spiritual and ethical values that need to be incorporated into their collective
thinking. Current political affairs are vividly showing us what is in
need of healing and change.
Pluto orbits the Sun
only once every 248 years. Pluto was last in Capricorn from 1762 to 1778, when
the American democracy was created. Given that Pluto is in Capricorn again, for
the first time since the 1700s, current affairs are testing the principles upon
which the U.S. democratic government was founded. Planetary patterns indicate
the nation could potentially undergo a second revolution, or at least a
revisiting and completion of the first. Resolution of unfinished business from
the 1700s is a high priority.
Pluto takes issues
that have been buried, which may include hidden treasures, and raises them to
the light for healing and transformation. The energy of Pluto will show us the
shadow side of power, authority, government, and greed as well as ways to
transcend these limitations. In the meantime, the effectiveness of big
government will be eroded as untruths, chaotic messages, opposition from a
majority of individuals, or plain old inefficiency escalate. We will see
greater power naturally flowing to the local level. Once a critical mass of
people become aware of the shadow side of our governance, apathy will give way
to action.
Eventually, each
individual will be led to take greater self-responsibility and exercise greater
self-control-because of the weakening of previously-relied-upon governing
structures. We will become more skillful in self-governance and self-mastery.
We also will be collectively moved to get along better with our neighbors, both
locally and internationally, because there may be fewer viable structures to
negotiate, protect, or stand up for us.
JUPITER-PLUTO CONJUNCTIONS of 2020 in CAPRICORN-April 5, June 30, and
November 12, 2020
Expansive Jupiter and transformative Pluto will conjoin in Capricorn 3 times in
2020-on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020. Jupiter-Pluto
conjunctions occur every 13 years. The last time Jupiter and Pluto came
together was in Sagittarius on December 11, 2007, just before the stock market
meltdown of September 29, 2008. Previous Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions occurred on
December 2, 1994, November 2, 1981, and October 13, 1968-all times of economic
downturn. This is not to say that an economic downturn will occur again. It's
just that when Jupiter hits Pluto, it exposes a deeper layer of the reality.
And where values are over-inflated, values will return to a more justifiable
level on the economic spectrum. This may seem like a downturn, but it's really
a return to a justifiable level.
The reason for many economic contractions under Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions
comes from Pluto's ability to expose the
reality hidden under the surface. If prosperity has been delayed, it will be
delivered at the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. Conversely, if a downtown has been
disguised and delayed, as it has been with artificially inflating of the U.S.
Stock Market through "quantitative easing" and other expansive money supply
policies pursued by the Federal Reserve, then a contraction will ensue.
Whatever has been hidden or postponed will rise up to be dealt with under the
Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction-both on the world economic and political stage, and
in your own personal life. Pluto last conjoined Jupiter in Capricorn in
1771, during the lead-up to the American Revolution.
The rare confluence of Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn (the last one occurred
249 years ago) portends revolutionary changes around the world. In the United
States, the governmental system is headed for a great change-although it may
not necessarily come immediately through a change in the leader (the current
leader is showing our weak spots and is highlighting what needs to be healed as
he dismantles the old order). The person elected to be in charge in 2020 may be
the catalyst for greater activism and self-rule by the American people-and by
people around the world. As a consequence of the new Aquarian energy flooding
the planet, this is the time to introspect and see where any aspects of your
own character may be holding you back from being the most altruistic,
compassionate version of yourself!
JUPITER-SATURN CONJUNCTION of 2020 in AQUARIUS-December 21, 2020
As discussed above, the alignment of Jupiter (laws)
and Saturn (government) occurs every 20 years. Jupiter and Saturn are
considered "chronometers" or markers of time because of their regularity-and
powerful impact on societal structures. Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions have
occurred in earth signs for the last 200 years. They will move into air signs
for the next 200 years beginning in 2020.
Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions (in earth signs since 1802) have to do with
structuring physical, material, financial reality. The upcoming 2020
Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction in the air sign of Aquarius will bring a shift in
the focus of power to a more air-like quality-instead of governmental power
focusing on material finances, power will be equated with those who influence
and/or control the global airwaves-wifi signals, internet accounts, global communication
networks, drones, airplanes, satellites, other forms of air space-and air
quality. We will identify the devastating effects of poor air quality and
pollution, not only on our planet, but on our relationship with the Sun and the
quality of sunlight that reaches the earth-and its impact on us. The ability of
manmade inventions to improve or damage the global environment will be
reviewed.
As with the quality of air whose spread is ubiquitous and expansive, the
quality of our awareness will spread beyond our limited earthly awareness of
our own bodies, finances, material possessions and physical earth. We will
become more aware of something much greater-our thoughts, invisible
air-like things that pervade physical reality and resonate with our souls and
Spirit. We will directly experience how the quality of our thoughts and
feelings-and particularly the quality of the love that emanates from our
hearts-will alter and transform our personal lives and experiences-and the
quality of the greater world.
Given that U.S. governments have been overturned to make way for new
administrations under past Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions, 2020 signifies the
beginning of a new way for government. Younger and more unifying leaders will
soon emerge as a result of the energy imparted by the Jupiter-Saturn
Conjunction in Aquarius. The re-formers of our world will be those who are born
after the year 2000, when the global energy shifts initiated. The minds of many
of those individuals born after 2000 are wired in different ways from the ways
of those of you who are probably reading this. Many of the young people born
during this millennium can multitask and process and retain information coming
at them from 2, 3 or more sources at once. They know things without having to
read them. Similarly, they may not take life as seriously as many in previous
generations-because they see a bigger picture that is less connected to
societal structures and norms. Future forms of government will be far looser
and less structured as a result. Individuals will have an opportunity to take
more self-responsibility in the loosely-knit structures that will evolve out of
the chaos of currently-being-dismantled structures.
At the same time, many other young souls are coming onto the planet who are quite
the opposite of the big-picture types-they can only concentrate on one thing
at a time (usually computers or computer games). They don't necessarily see the
big picture. These people are often labeled "autistic." They are here to
provide the technological advancements that the big-picture souls can use to
bring in new forms of governance, doing away with massive governmental
structures.
The potent Aquarian energy coming in 2020 will call not only for a
restructuring of global governmental bodies and systems that rule us-but those
structures within us that guide us, such as attitudes, habits, and our own
thoughts and feelings. The things that hold us back and together will come into
question this year. Many structures inside and outside must come unglued before
they can be glued together in a new, better, and probably looser way. The new
way will be more in sync with our collective upward evolution. So, all
will be for the best once areas of disharmony are uncovered and healed.

What You Can Do in 2020:
On a personal level, it is important that each of you contribute the
light you have to make the collective light burn brighter. Sometimes, before
the light shines through, the dark becomes darker, the classic "darkest
before the dawn." The light on the planet is building through your
collective thoughts, prayers, and actions. When the collective power of your
positive thoughts, prayers, and the accumulation of positive acts of
lovingkindness reaches a critical mass, greater
light will return. This portends the arrival of enlightened leaders who will
create the kind of society we feel we should be living in at this stage of our
collective evolution.
Clear yourself of negativity to bring greater peace and harmony to the world.
If you think of someone with love, you can even change an enemy into a friend.
Try to see the good in every situation without judging. If you give love
and positive prayers, this positive energy will come back to you in beautiful
and unexpected ways. If you give hate and fear, they may come back to you
as well. No matter what your political affiliation, please pray for the
good of our world without political fracturing, and for the ascendance of
leaders with reasonable, balanced viewpoints, and a higher state of consciousness.
Imagine a bubble of golden light surrounding the globe, and pray for the
highest good of all.
Thus, concentrate your awareness and energies on what you can do to change and
improve your own inner environment-your thoughts and feelings. We will all
discover at the dawning of the upcoming Age of Aquarius that what emanates from
us is far greater than what is coming toward us from governmental authorities
that only seem to hold the "power."
The current weakening of governmental structures across the planet will
continue to transfer greater personal power to each of you.
Spend time in stillness and meditation, focusing on your Higher Self and Soul.
Try to listen and feel the greater power within you. Your prayers are
powerful, far more than any election or governmental leader who may "appear" to
hold sway over your life.
One more thing you can do to insure your life will be better in 2020: Pick one
habit or quality in yourself that you would like to let go of. Visualize the
new quality you would like to replace it with. Let yourself feel how you will
feel when this new quality is embodied. Then, imagine yourself doing something
nice for another person, something that will make the world a better place.
If collectively, each of us does something to make the world a
better place, then 2020 will be better for all of us!
Many blessings for a 2020 filled with love & light,
Laurie

electricity and large masses of people. The influence of electronic
communications will strengthen as the power of electromagnetic forces,
including 5G, satellite communications, and military testing of sonar and other
electromagnetic field-altering devices become stronger.

ARIES (March 21 -
April 19)
The 1st half of 2020
will provide you an excellent time to complete undertakings you have started in
the past 2 years. Conversely, the 2nd half of 2020 will be the best time to
initiate new ideas and projects. Mars, your planetary ruler, will be in Aries
throughout the 2nd half of 2020-June 27, 2020 - January 6, 2021, making
this a good time for new beginnings. Energizing Mars in Aries will give you
extra power to take the initiative and to stick with your future plans.
Normally, Mars spends 2 months in each constellation of the zodiac, making a
full revolution through the 12 zodiacal signs every 2 years. This year's
exceptionally long transit of Mars through the Sign of the Ram (6 months) is
due to the fiery planet's retrograde in Aries from
September 9 - November 13, 2020, during which time you will have the
opportunity to make course corrections. During the forward motion of Mars in
Aries (June 27 - September 9, 2020 & November 13 - January 6, 2021), you
will make much progress when you focus on your Higher Self. The influence
of Mars in Aries will help you take positive action on your soul-inspired hopes
and dreams. The only cautionary note will be when Mars conjoins the South
Node of the Moon on February 25, 2020. This will be a moment to exercise
caution and restraint. Tread lightly. Otherwise, when you focus your
energies on contributing to others, fortunate Jupiter in
Capricorn throughout 2020 will provide positive support. A solar
eclipse on December 26, 2019 will cause you to question a decision you made as
long as 19 years ago. A lunar eclipse on January 10, 2020 will help you
understand a new idea in a different light. Additional important information
will become available by early summer.
TAURUS (April 20 - May
20)
It's a good idea to
initiate changes you have been contemplating for as long as the last 7 years
now that you have the support of change-oriented Uranus in Taurus until 2026.
You will feel especially supported by the steady energy of Jupiter, Saturn, and
Pluto in the compatible earth sign of Capricorn throughout 2020. Lucky Jupiter
will remain in Capricorn until December 19, 2020. Disciplined Saturn will be in
Capricorn until March 21, 2020, and again from July 1 - December 16, 2020. And
profound Pluto, which helps you transform the deepest strata of unworkable
attitudes and attachments, will remain in the determined sign of Capricorn
until 2024. This is a good time to decide which aspects of your character you
would like to bring forward into the future, and what you would like to let go
of-materially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Since you won't be able
to carry it all forward into the 2020's, it's most useful to determine what you
no longer need and gracefully let it go. What will come in to take its place
will be even better than what you had before! Venus, your planetary ruler,
turns retrograde in Gemini from May 12 - June 24, 2020. This will be a time for
reconnecting with special people from your past, particularly neighbors or
siblings, or former teachers or students. Also review your finances during this
period to ensure your budget is realistic.
GEMINI (May 21 - June
21)
Energetic Mars in your opposing sign of Sagittarius from January 3 - February
16, 2020 will attract many enthusiastic and energetic people to you. Listen
carefully to what they have to say and make sure you comprehend the details.
The individuals you encounter will be prone to exaggerate, so make sure that
their proposals make logical sense-and that they are realistic. It's okay to
say "no," or take time to think about ideas that sound too good to be true. You
may be receptive to unrealistic proposals at this time, so make sure to check
your facts before signing on the dotted line. Your planetary ruler,
communicative Mercury, turns retrograde from February 16 - March 9, 2020. This
will be a good time to review commitments from the past and make course
corrections. You will also benefit from periodically resting your mind and
letting your vision go out of focus. You may enjoy seeing the world from a
different perspective. When Mercury turns retrograde again from June 17 - July
12, 2020, it'll be time to introspect-and get serious about expressing
your feelings clearly to your loved ones-it does not matter if the feelings are
loving and positive, or angry and negative. This is the time to honestly review
your internal workings and gain clarity. Mercury retrogrades for the final time
in 2020 from October 13 - November 3, 2020. You will do best when you resolve
unresolved issues in your important relationships under this influence. Make
sure to check with the people you are close to so you may confirm they feel the
way you do-or at least the way you think they feel. You will set a positive
example for many other people when the fateful North Node of the Moon travels
through Gemini from May 4, 2020 - January 18, 2022. Clarity and honesty will be
your best friends. You will connect with new people under a lunar eclipse on
June 4, 2020 when the Sun is in Gemini and the Moon is in Sagittarius.
CANCER (June 22 - July
22)
A series of eclipses in Cancer and your opposite sign of Capricorn in 2020 will
help you discern which of the relationships in your life are mutually
satisfying and supportive and which are energetically depleting. You aren't one
to easily let go of relationships, but you certainly are not above taking a
little distance from negative energies if necessary. That is why Cancer the
Crab has a shell-to withdraw into for self-protection and self-healing. The
2020 eclipses will be times when you will be able to make course corrections,
especially in relationships and in the way you express yourself in these important
connectionss. The eclipses occur on: December 26, 2019, January 10, June 5,
June 20, July 4, November 30, and December 14, 2020. These will be critical
turning points in your year, when you will decide who you'd like to bring
forward into the new year of 2021. A Saturn-Pluto conjunction on January 12,
2020 will help you face a reality you have avoided. A relationship may also
shift gears. Either there are aspects of the relationship for which you have
not felt gratitude or about which you have not taken necessary action-someone may have been taking advantage of you
or you may have been
taking someone for granted. This is a time for balancing the power dynamics of
your important contacts. The conjunctions of lucky Jupiter and depth-seeking
Pluto on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020 will help you access the deep
reserves of beneficial power within yourself. You possess many inner
resources-emotional awareness, inner strength, stamina, and endurance. Even
though you have a protective shell to withdraw into when situations are
negative, you have plenty of inner knowledge and wisdom to deal with
circumstances that may occur in your life.
LEO (July 23 - August
22)
The 1st half of 2020 will be an opportune time to rectify details of your daily
life that are out of alignment with your larger goals and life direction. It
will be a favorable time for house-cleaning-literally and metaphorically-until
March 21, 2020, when karmic Saturn leaves Capricorn and moves into your
opposing sign of Aquarius. While Saturn is in Aquarius from the Spring Equinox
in 2020 until July 1, 2020, and from December 16, 2020 to March 7, 2023, you
will review your important relationships to determine who is supporting your
overall life direction-and who is not. Conversely, people in your life will
also be evaluating your level of support for their life directions. Try to make
sure you are giving as much care and attention to others as you are receiving
from them as well. This is a time for introspection and re-balancing so
you have equality in your important contacts. A series of eclipses in 2020
will help you to see hidden aspects of your nature-resources that you may
access-or obstacles you may unwittingly be creating. A Saturn-Pluto conjunction
on January 12, 2020 will help you realistically assess your options for the
future. The most recent conjunction of karmic Saturn and transformative Pluto
occurred in 1982-83. Saturn-Pluto conjunctions occur every 34 years and
are times to rectify those things that have gone out of balance in the
past. The next Saturn-Pluto conjunction will occur in 2053-54 in
Pisces.
VIRGO (August 23 -
September 22)
This is a year to
focus on your spiritual evolution while transcendent Neptune travels through
your opposing sign of Pisces until 2026. This is a time to look for answers
within yourself rather than seeking outside. It also is a time to re-evaluate
your life direction through the lens of your own values-rather than the values
that are imposed upon you by "society." You will be supported to make positive
changes by the energy of Jupiter, Saturn, and
Pluto in the compatible earth sign of Capricorn. Lucky Jupiter will remain in
Capricorn until December 19, 2020. Disciplined Saturn will be in Capricorn
until March 21, 2020, and again from July 1 to December 16, 2020. And
profound Pluto, which helps you transform the deepest strata of any unworkable
attitudes and attachments, will remain in the determined sign of Capricorn
until 2024. A conjunction of karmic Saturn and transformative Pluto on
January 12, 2020 will help you confront creative blocks so you may access deep
reservoirs of creativity within yourself. If you've felt a creative block, you
will have the opportunity to heal the cause during the new
year. Sometimes your mind get so mired in details, you are unable to
access the lyrical side of your nature. Oceanic Neptune in Pisces will help you
dissolve the barriers between your more serious side and your playful,
intuitive self. In 2020, Mercury Retrograde on February 16 - March
9, June 17 - July 12, and October 13 - November 3, 2020 will give you
time to relax, rest, renew, and open to the flowing side of your nature.
LIBRA (September 23 -
October 23)
A series of eclipses
in the coming year will help you reconfigure your home life. The eclipses occur
on: December 26, 2019, January 10, June 15 and 21, July 5, November 30,
and December 14, 2020. There may be an influence in your home environment that
is keeping you from experiencing the peace and harmony you deeply desire. This
influence could be improved through the use of feng shui (furniture
& room arrangement, lighting or colors) or through alleviating
electromagnetic influences that could keep you from getting a good night's
sleep. Seek modifications of your domestic situation so you may bring your home
into alignment with your true inner self-a true reflection of the peaceful,
harmonious, artistic being you are. Light colors and balanced lighting will relax
your nervous system. A conjunction of karmic Saturn and transformative
Pluto on January 12, 2020 will give you the impetus you need to let go of
an outmoded attitude so you may see your life from a higher perspective.
Saturn-Pluto conjunctions occur every 34 years and represent opportunities to
bring balance to unbalanced areas of your life. This influence will be
felt globally as well. Shadow regions of human behavior will be brought
to light for purification and right action will be restored. Saturn-Pluto
conjunctions have occurred at transformative times in human history: 1914-15,
1947-48, 1982-83. and now, in
2020. The next Saturn-Pluto conjunction will be in 2053-54. Venus, your
planetary ruler, turns retrograde in Gemini from May 12 to June 24, 2020.
This will be a time to reconnect with special people from your past,
particularly neighbors or siblings, or former teachers or students.
SCORPIO (October 24 -
November 21)
Transformative Pluto,
your planetary ruler, conjoins karmic Saturn in Capricorn on January 12, 2020.
This will be a turning point in your life, when profound gifts and resources
inside yourself will find modes of expression in the world. You were made
for the coming times. Your deeply resourceful nature will be called upon
to set an example for others during any challenging situations that may
arise. Your intrepid nature often becomes even more intrepid in
potentially turbulent or challenging times! Even though fear is not a natural
part of your character, some people who know the history of Saturn-Pluto
conjunctions may get a shiver up their spines when they read about
past Saturn-Pluto conjunctions, which have occurred at transformative
times in human history: 1914-15, 1947-48, and 1982-83. Saturn-Pluto
conjunctions occur every 34 years and provide opportunities to bring balance to
unbalanced power dynamics. Shadow regions of human behavior will be brought to
light for purification and right action will be restored. The
Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 2020 coincides with the conjunction of expansive
Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020,
and a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius on December 21, 2020. These
rare and innovative planetary alignments of 2020 portend
revolutionary changes in your own life-as well as in global and national
governmental systems. What does this mean for you as a Scorpio? You were made
to be a leader in trying times. More presidents have been Scorpios, or have had
a Scorpio Moon or Scorpio Rising than any other sign. Your fortitude will be
put to the test-and your strength will also develop and evolve in 2020-and
beyond. This is the time to introspect and see where any aspects of your
character may be holding you back from being the most altruistic, compassionate
leader of the segment of the world connected to you.
SAGITTARIUS (November
22 - December 21)
Lucky Jupiter, your planetary ruler, transitioned from expansive Sagittarius to
serious and structured Capricorn on December 2, 2019. When Jupiter is in
Capricorn for one year of every 12 years, it enables you to focus more on how
you handle organizational structures, commitments, and
responsibility. Jupiter will remain in Capricorn until December 19, 2020.
On a global scale, a series of conjunctions of Jupiter with profound Pluto in
Capricorn on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020, will bring the beginning
of a wholesale revamping of governmental structures across the planet. On a
personal level, you may get in touch with a part of yourself that governs the
rest of you-your attitudes, your feelings, and your thoughts. You may call it
your Higher Self or your conscience. This soulful part of your nature will be
called forth during the coming year. You may be setting an example and helping
others to get through challenges that require the kind of positive attitude and
optimism you naturally possess. You have the ability to make lemonade out of
lemons and to maintain a positive outlook in times of transition. Spiritual
Neptune in Pisces in 2020 (until 2026) will also help you access the spiritual
part of your nature. Your strong connection to your soul and Spirit will
sustain you and help you assist others in the coming year. On a more
mundane level, this is a year to invest cautiously and to be conservative with
your financial expenditures. Unforeseen events could cause a change of plans.
You may need access to your cash reserves. But the new directions will be better than the old. Your
buoyant spirit will guide you to a higher level. When Jupiter conjoins Saturn
in Aquarius on December 21, 2020, you will find yourself assuming a
leadership position, either managing an established group of people or forming
a new organization.
CAPRICORN (December 22
- January 19)
Disciplined Saturn in Capricorn until March 21, 2020, and again from July 1 to
December 16, 2020, will enable you to exercise self-discipline to bring about a
positive change within yourself or in the environment around you.
Saturn's conjunction with transformative Pluto on January 12, 2020 also will give you an opportunity to transform an
area of your life that you have long desired to revamp. It is a time of great
transition in the world. And even though you value steadiness, sameness, and
stability, you too will be going through some profound adjustments in attitude and
outlook in 2020. Most of these changes will have to do with how your Higher Self operates in your daily life-and how you interact with
your conscience? Do you listen or ignore its promptings? How do you approach
you thoughts, feelings, and fixed attitudes? Do you listen to the voices of the
higher part of yourself or your soul in an original way? Or do you follow
others? Do you follow your intuition in the moment or adhere to rigid routines?
The transformative energies of 2020, including expansive Jupiter conjunct Pluto
in Capricorn on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020, will enable you
to make positive discoveries about yourself and your relationship to yourself
and others. A series of eclipses will bring new people and influences into your
daily life. Upcoming eclipses occur on: December 26, 2019, January 10,

excesses during this karmic period. Lucky Jupiter in Aquarius also conjoins
structured Saturn in Aquarius on December 21, 2020. This planetary alignment
will give you a chance to exercise your authority in a new and more creative
way. You may exercise this emerging aspect of yourself through self-discipline,
self-governance, or leadership of others. A conjunction of structured Saturn
and depth-seeking Pluto in Capricorn on January 12, 2020 will enable you to
release an unconscious pattern that has created obstacles. Take time to
introspect and reflect upon what the obstacle may be-and how you may
overcome it. A series of conjunctions of expansive Jupiter and transformative
Pluto on April 5, June 30, and November 12, 2020 will enable you to discover
deep healing resources within yourself. These resources will help you focus
your inner strength and willpower to transform an aspect of the environment
around you that is no longer serving your highest good. Ultimately, you are
here to fully express the heartfelt energy of your beautiful soul to influence
large groups of people. A series of eclipses on December 26, 2019,
and January 10, June 15 and 21, July 5, November 30, and December 14, 2020 will
help you clear past life karma so you may feel most comfortable in the current
role you are fulfilling. Accept all challenges with equanimity.
PISCES (February 19 -
March 20)
You will reap your greatest rewards when you engage in spiritual or
contemplative practices under the influence of spiritual Neptune in Pisces
in 2020-until 2026. A rare conjunction of karmic Saturn and transformative
Pluto on January 12, 2020 will challenge you to examine and purify a shadow
aspect of your nature. Saturn-Pluto conjunctions occur every 34 years and

brought to light for purification and right action will be restored under the
Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of 2020. The next Saturn-Pluto conjunction will
occur in 2053-54 in Pisces. In addition, the conjunctions of expansive
Jupiter and transformative Pluto in Capricorn on April 5, June 30, and November
12, 2020 will enable you to discover an out-moded attitude that comes into
play in your interactions with the world. Your approach or attitude may hold
you back from realizing your most cherished goals and dreams-and your full
potential. The aspects in need of transformation
could be lack of focus, lack of clarity or direction, or behaviors that
are addictive, codependent, or self-defeating. This time will enable
you to heal any unworkable patterns that have become routines. The
powerful earthy energies of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn in 2020
will help you streamline your psychological toolbox so you may deploy the most
effective techniques to ground and transform your life. This is the time to
make the improvements you have been contemplating for as many as 19 years. Or,
