SUMMER SOLSTICE Predictions 2014

The Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, arrives on Saturday, June 21. The strength of the sunlight at the Summer Solstice intensifies the power of your thoughts, affirmations, and prayers. You can make much spiritual, mental, emotional, and material progress during this time. Use this period to focus on the qualities you would like to develop and the areas you would like to improve. Visualize positive outcomes for yourself and others. Pray for divine assistance.
 
Many people ask whether the effects of Grand Cross Alignment of 2014 are "over."
(A planetary cross formed in the sky on Easter Sunday and lasted 4 days.)
 This dramatic astrological configuration—which involved Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto, and the Moon—will give rise to far-reaching transformations of every dimension of your life. The reverberations of the Grand Cross have already catalyzed an acceleration in innovative thinking, technological advances, experimental lifestyles, new modes of expression, and revolutionary patterns of relating between individuals, communities and nations. The power of this Grand Cross is unlike anything you have experienced in your lifetime.

Foremost among the changes is a global focus upon individualism, currently facilitated by the ubiquity of personal electronics gadgets. While temporarily giving rise to intense self-absorption, these innovations will ultimately give way to a stronger sense of self in each person. All technological advances and consequent withdrawal into the self are part of a larger shift toward communicating through more subtle telepathic means. This transformation brings us one step closer to subtle spiritual realms. Consequently, each individual will more easily find his or her personal path to the divine through increased reliance on inner resources of thought and feeling. The current changes are part of our evolution toward Spirit—despite appearances to the contrary.

Astrologically speaking, the Grand Cross of 2014 is the 5th in a series of 7 alignments of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. Uranus in Aries gives you energy for change, innovation, and individuation. Pluto in Capricorn will unleash forces under the surface to give you the impetus to unearth problems in unworkable areas of your life. Collectively, we will address problems in corporate and governmental systems. The exploration of the ineffectiveness of our existing systems will lead to their crumbling to make way for a higher order. The transition will at times be challenging but there also will be many opportunities for growth.
 
The 7-part-series of Uranus-Pluto alignments began on June 24, 2012, and peaked at the 5th alignment on April 20, 2014, under the influence of the powerful Grand Cross. The Uranus-Pluto alignment continues on December 15, 2014, and concludes on March 17, 2015.

So, it's not quite "over" yet.

 The planetary transits we are living under will likely be disorienting and chaos-producing. But they will be the forerunner of a society built on generosity, love, compassion, and the equitable exchange of resources between people across the globe.

Consider these three astrological points about Uranus, the planet that is disrupting the status quo of so much of our world:

1. Uranus, a major planet highlighted in the Grand Cross of 2014, rotates at a right angle to the other planets in our solar system. Uranus is currently in Aries, where it is the most individualistic and assertive of all 12 signs of the Zodiac. Uranus will be in Aries until 2019. Uranus influences you to experiment with unusual behavior, just as it does by rotating at an odd angle to the other celestial bodies. So, under its long-standing influence, you will be emboldened to express your true nature, to follow your inner voices, and your deepest desires. With the powerful magnetic pull of Uranus in Aries, it won't be possible to hold back. The impulse to assert your Self, whether through art, music, clothing, hairstyles, or relationships, will be paramount.

2. Uranus vibrates to the rhythm of electricity. Electricity  has a cyclical wavelength different from the wavelength of the human body or the earth. Thus, imbibing more electronic energy through pervasive use of electronic gadgets will keep you more in sync with the outer planet of Uranus and less in sync with Mother Earth. The currents of electricity hitting the earth are so strong now that it simply will not be possible to resist the tide of change.  Due to the influence of Uranus, that which is dependable and planned will not only seem boring—it will not work.
 
3. Under the influence of Uranus in Aries, you may have difficulty evaluating the present moment with the measurements you have applied in the past. You may well see the past, present, and the future from an opposite perspective from the way you have seen them before. You will more easily see things from alternative points of view. A risk you are contemplating may provide rich rewards, but you must make sure you are doing the right thing for the right reason. Set a positive intention with positive motives for greater success. Otherwise, if your motives are not aligned with your highest good—and the highest good of others—your venture is unlikely to succeed. You will meet an enterprising and ambitious individual under the influence of Mars and Saturn in your opposing sign of Scorpio on August 25. Wait until after late August to make an important commitment. The terms will more likely be in your favor if you wait and consider all options from many angles. Adhering to tradition and looking at situations in the same old way will not work to your advantage. Innovative and creative thinking will open new doors for you. With loving Venus in Gemini from June 23 to July 18, you will have ample opportunity to assimilate information you may have been too busy to absorb earlier in the year. Venus in Cancer from July 18 to August 12 will help you focus on home, family, and loved ones. Jupiter enters Leo on July 16, the first time the planet of luck has been in the fire sign of Leo since 2003. Think back to the people in your life from August 2002 to August 2003.
