The Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, arrives on Sunday, June 20, 2021. The zenith of the sun's light at this time of year will help you focus solar (soul-ar) energy on your growth and evolution. It is a good time to start new projects, meet new people, and use the increased light and energy of the summer sun to send positive thoughts, prayers, and affirmations to manifest your highest ideals. The summer sun will deeply energize your spiritual, mental, emotional, and material progress. Your prayers are powerful, so remember to pray for the highest good for yourselves and for our world!

The bulk of  June's heavy duty planetary alignments will be in the rearview mirror just days before the Summer Solstice on June 20, 2021.  So you may find the coming summer season a relaxing respite from the high-intensity spring season.  With most of the outer planets retrograding during the summer as well, it will be a time to gather your energies and recommit to the important directions in your life. It is a good time to contemplate your past and present so you may make the best decisions for the future. This is a fortunate moment to visualize and plan for the positive things you would like to create.

The dramatic planetary patterns that coalesced in the dynamic interlude from late May to mid-June 2021 included two powerful eclipses (May 26 and June 10, 2021) that caused the uncovering of hidden information and unexpected reversals. A Mars-Pluto opposition  brought brewing conflicts to the fore on June 5, 2021. A Saturn-Uranus square on June 14, 2021 challenged new systems to replace the old ones. And Mercury Retrograde (May 29-June 22, 2021) delivered electronic and communication confusion that will ultimately lead to higher thoughts and a more evolved reality. Real forward progress and evolution can be expected after the completion of the Mercury Retrograde two days after the Summer Solstice. And finally, a t-square between potent Mars, disciplined Saturn, and innovative Uranus culminating on July 4th will energize the change-oriented energy. There will be much to integrate in the summer season.

The summer months also will feature Jupiter in Pisces retrograde for 4 months, beginning just hours before the Summer Solstice. This will bring light and energy to your introspective practices, meditations, and spiritual activities. Jupiter will enter Aquarius from July 28 to December 28, 2021, and will highlight dynamic group interactions. Additionally, disciplined Saturn will be retrograde in Aquarius along with Jupiter in Aquarius, to highlight questions of the use and mis-use of governmental and corporate power. Spiritual Neptune in Pisces and transformative Pluto in Capricorn will be retrograde until this fall as well, giving you an opportunity to further discern fact from fiction, and to rewrite and reconfigure the narrative of your current circumstances. The lines between fantasy and reality may be a bit blurry at this time. Uranus in Taurus will join the backward pull in mid-August with an opportunity for rectification and reimagining of the future. Innovative Uranus will align with Saturn again at the end of the year,  preparing the way for new forms of government, self-governance, schooling, commerce, and societal interactions. It will be a time of rebirth in your own personal life.

The summer season will give you the opportunity to integrate all that you have learned in the last year so you may prepare your Self for further evolution and growth in the coming fall and winter seasons.

It's becoming rather apparent that trying to preserve the old way and traditions will be difficult—if not impossible—as we are now entering a phase where we will see the wisdom of creating on a higher, more conscious level rather than the seemingly easier path of clinging to the past. Some examples include the number of people who feel they are more productive working from home than in office settings, and the children (admittedly a minority) who report that they learned better from home than in classroom settings. Many parents are pooling their resources to create home schools, online and in person, to teach their children skills they would not necessarily learn in school, such as seed-sprouting, gardening, nutrition, money management, and even astrology :-). 

There is much to be excited about as we enter a new stage of human and societal evolution. Even though the changes are revealing a dark or shadowy side of our societies around the world, the light of the revolutionary planetary alignments also are showing the way to recreate anew—on a higher level, reflecting the higher state of consciousness you are now in—compared to where we were as a group when the original plan was initiated. 

While change is disruptive, and sometimes challenging, what is about to emerge in you and the people in your life will be liberating and exhilarating, and will bring greater authenticity to your daily interactions.
