Spring Equinox 2016

Greetings!

The Spring Equinox arrives early this year, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, due to the extra day inserted into the calendar for Leap Year. The Spring Equinox is the day when the light of day equals the dark of night. It also is the day when the Sun enters the creative fire sign of Aries. 

The days leading up to the Spring Equinox provide an opportunity to pray, meditate, and practice positive thinking and visualization to crystallize your energy around favorable outcomes. The power of the changing angle of the Sun intensifies your thoughts, which enables you to make great spiritual, mental, emotional, and material progress at this time. It is a law of physics that light is most powerful when it bends, as it does at every Equinox and Solstice. Use this time to accelerate your evolution and support the growth of the people around you.

Here's what you can expect:

A lunar eclipse in Libra on March 23, 2016, coinciding with a powerful alignment of lucky Jupiter in Virgo and karmic Saturn in Sagittarius, also on March 23, 2016, will cause relationships patterns to shift and a realignment of allies on the political spectrum. Watch for unexpected news!

The retrograde of Mars from April 17 to June 29, 2016, will cause further chaotic events among leaders of nations (or potential leaders of nations) before giving way to a less absurd version of reality in September. Please note that I did not say "sane" version of reality, just a less ludicrous "reality show."

Planetary patterns are currently supporting an unmasking of the lack of coherent, altruistic, positive thinking among political leaders. The exposure of all-talk/no-action, and even destructive actions, will make the truth more clear. Essentially, we will be seeing throughout this year that "the emperor (political leadership) has no clothes." 

The exposure of the ineptitude of leaders across the globe will eventually lead to widespread reform—or even rebellion, as is already the case in Arab nations. Despite the discomfort and dislocation caused by ragtag reformers, few of whom have a viable alternative to current leadership, healthy world governing bodies will emerge. 

  Initially people will withdraw into more localized or tribal groups to deal with escalating unpredictability across the globe. But the breakdown of functional governments, already evident in many governing bodies across the planet, including in the United States, will lead to the emergence of a more coherent unifying system as the fabric of humanity can no longer handle the stress of so much fracturing.

National and international boundaries also will gradually weaken and eventually be erased due to homogenization and rapid exchange of ideas facilitated by electronic communications and mass migrations. Even in the United States, boundaries between states will become less workable, as equal laws equally governing all will be needed. Inter-state boundaries will become increasingly irrelevant.

You will have time to review the past and make course corrections when Mercury, the communications planet, is retrograde in Taurus, from April 28 to May 22, 2016. More accurate information, which will better guide you, is coming! This is a good time to slow down and relax. It is not a good time to exert pressure to move forward into the future.

Greater implementation of rules and laws will come with the alignment of karmic Saturn and Jupiter on May 26, 2016. Restrictions could become more stringent even as people strive—and achieve—greater personal freedom through the evolution of technology that eases real or virtual travel across the globe.

You will notice two competing forces throughout the spring season. One force will move you toward greater freedom and exploration without limitation. And the other energetic force will bring  greater controls through organizational rules and restrictions. This struggle will ultimately give way to a reasonable balance between freedom and discipline so there can be peaceful co-existence between people across the globe. You will find the pendulum swinging both ways, between greater personal freedom of expression and greater repression of individual rights, throughout the year. Greater equilibrium will be sought and found later in 2016 and 2017.

If you are trying to find or create greater coherence, you will have the best results after Mars turns direct in Sagittarius on June 29, 2016. The entrance of lucky, law-making Jupiter into Libra on September 9, 2016, will further balance the scales. Under the influence of Jupiter in Virgo until September 9, 2016, you will see more details of what is wrong in our your life or environment. You will develop ideas about what to do to rectify your situation under the Virgo influence. You will be most easily able to  take action under the influence of Jupiter in Libra from September 9, 2016, to October 10, 2017. 

Finally, prayer, meditation, contemplation, positive affirmations, and service to others will bring you and the world around you greater benefits and greater coherence. The spiritual influence of karmic Saturn and spiritual Neptune, beginning on June 17, 2016, and lasting until September 10, 2016, will bring even more beneficial results from your spiritual efforts. Great spiritual leaders are often born under the Saturn-Neptune influence. So take note of the special souls incarnating in the current "mini baby boom."
