Spring Equinox Greetings!
 

The Spring Equinox, the moment of balance between day and night, arrives on Thursday, March 20, 2025. This is the perfect moment to introspect about the balance of light and dark within you. Where might you like to bring in more light (honesty, integrity, transparency, forthrightness, generosity, caring, and loving kindness)? And what darkness would you like to let go of (selfishness, withholding, self-deception, or inertia)? Sit in prayer and contemplation in the days leading up to the Spring Equinox, and invite the growing light of the Sun to energize your positive intentions. As we each transform ourselves, we make the world a better place too!

 

Astrologically, the spring season will be a time of profound endings and rapid new beginnings under the multi-pronged entrance of planets into the fire sign Aries, the first sign of the astrological wheel that initiates the spring season. Simultaneously, many planets are moving out of the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, which portends and ending of the old way. This has left us with quite a bit of collective unclarity and an inability to distinguish fact from fiction.

Aries will bring sharp focus to what has been hidden. Unpopular truths will be unearthed and exposed. Each revelation will bring heightened activity as we readjust to each newly revealed reality. While the rapid pace of  new revelations may challenge our collective ability to absorb and adjust, the ability of each individual to synthesize new information will ultimately raise the level of consciousness for all.

A greater feeling of combustibility will permeate the air during the spring season, as if there is a flammable current of electricity in the air that impacts our thoughts, emotions, moods, reactions...and even the physical world. More weird weather, lightening, the collision of positively- and negatively-charged particles, symbolize the collisions of ideologies as well as literal energetic explosions on the earth and in the air (such as airplane crashes, wildfires, and the combustion of lithium batteries, not to mention the sudden appearance of drones and disappearance of aircraft or water-borne vehicles.)

These mishaps represents the implosion of the aggressive aspect of male energy represented by Aries the Ram. Aries is ruled by Mars, and in nature, rams charge at other rams at high-speed to establish dominance and clear away opposition. This paradigm could well represent the quality of leadership around the world today.

Power of Aries the Ram

The activation of the sign of Aries by multiple celestial bodies within a short period of time will be highly activating for humanity as well. Aries is not only the first sign of the astrological year, but it also is associated with the letter "A," the first letter of almost every alphabet on the planet.

The ascendance of Aries energy during the spring season will highlight "A" words such as ambition, activity, adventurousness, artistic endeavors, assertion, aggression, and asymmetrical opinions (as opposed to balanced viewpoints). These "A" words primarily reflect male energy--on steroids.

You may notice that the world seems to be dominated by aggressive men who are bent on destroying the old, which may have more naturally and gracefully deteriorated on its own if natural evolution and rhythms were allowed to prevail. Yet, the powerful men have yet to replace what they are dismantling with anything new--as of now. This is because in destroying the old, male-dominated way, the masculine is in essence destroying itself. What will come in its place is new female energy that will enter when the old male  paradigm is gone. You will see a whole new cadre of female leaders--and feminine energy--coming in to replace what has been taken away. It will take time to rebuild, but the flip to the opposite polarity is about to begin. 

Aries is ruled by Mars. Its polar opposite is Libra, which is ruled by Venus. We are about to witness Venus rising.

· Disciplined Saturn into ARIES * May 25th (first time since 1999; Saturn remains in Aries until April 2028) * opportunity for correct expression of male energy 

Meanwhile...

· Fateful North Node of the Moon moved backward from Aries to Pisces on January 11, 2025 This is the first time the North Node has left Aries and entered Pisces since 2006. The Pisces Node influences people and societies toward greater spirituality. Unresolved issues from 19-20 years ago rise up for resolution. 

· The North Node of the Moon remains in Pisces until July 26, 2026. This will bring a greater dissolution of societal structures that no longer work--to make space for higher spiritual consciousness to come in. Trying to hold on could bring greater loss in the future.

· Also don't miss the Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse on March 14, 2025 * It is visible in North & South America, Europe, Asia & Australia just after midnight (consult your local time zone). This Lunar Eclipse will help you discern what to fight for and what to let go of. 

What the Aries planetary alignment means: 

· Intense buildup of energy and motivation for new beginnings

· A sense of the imminence of destined endings (with the understanding that the endings were eventually destined to occur)

· Innovative new initiatives brewing in the background (even if we can't see them yet)

 

The I'Ching, the Chinese Book of Changes, teaches that all endings are beginnings, and beginnings are endings. We too will be living this principle throughout the Spring season and the rest of 2025 and 2026. 

Continue to pray for the highest good of all. And strive to see an adversary's point of view. As each person takes a step toward the other, we will break through the extreme polarization of dualistic thinking we have been experiencing. In other words, let go of seeing our leaders or each other as all good or all bad. Aries energy brings extremes. The only way to break through the polarized position we are now in is through understanding and acceptance--of positions that previously seemed impossible to understand. Stay open to alternative points of view!

Both Mercury and Venus began their retrogrades earlier in March under the sign of Aries, but complete their retrograde motion in Pisces. This means that it is a good time to complete the old to be ready for a new beginning-on an emotional, logistical, and spiritual level-in mid-April. A New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries on March 29, 2025, will help you resolve an issue you last faced in 2006. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

Loving Venus, your planetary ruler, retrogrades into the compassionate sign of Pisces until April 12, 2025, giving you a chance to express your loving heart under the Venus in Pisces influence until March 30, 2025. This is a positive period to connect with loved ones and join together with them to help others. You will feel a new burst of inspiration and enthusiasm to express your creativity once the Sun moves into Taurus on April 19, 2025, followed by communicative Mercury entering Taurus from May 10 to 25, 2025, and loving Venus in Taurus from June 5 to July 4, 2025.
